Who We Are
Kelly Wong is a highly accomplished architect based in London with over 20 years of experience in the UK. She has collaborated with award-winning practices recognised by RIBA and successfully completed projects in diverse sectors, including commercial, cultural, educational, residential, workplace, and banking.
Originally from Malaysia, Kelly's passion for building design led her to pursue a career in architecture. After training in interior design and teaching the subject, she transitioned into architectural practice, contributing to significant projects in South East Asia.
Kelly received a prestigious scholarship to study architecture at the University of East London, guided by esteemed professors Peter Salter and Peter Clash. She completed her Postgraduate Diploma in 2004 while gaining experience as a part-time architectural assistant, specialising in residential extension and alteration projects.
Throughout her career, Kelly held notable positions as a Project Architect and Senior Project Architect in renowned firms such as McMorran and Gatehouse Architects, Surface Architects, and Eva Jirinca Architects. Her project portfolio includes a wide range of values, from smaller-scale projects worth £50,000 to larger-scale endeavors valued at £16M. She also worked as a Design Consultant for A&Q Partnership and Six Architecture before establishing her own architectural firm, Studio 16 (S16), which shares an affiliation with Christine Peever's Sheldon Peever Studio.
Christine Peever, originally from Borneo, relocated to the UK in the 1990s and attended Millfield Boarding School in Somerset. While studying at the University of East London, she met her classmate Kelly.
Over the span of 20 years, Christine has successfully contributed to numerous projects, both publicly and privately funded, covering RIBA stages 0-7. She places great importance on achieving a harmonious balance between high-quality design and practicality.
Christine's portfolio encompasses a wide range of projects, from individual houses to larger public buildings and urban developments. Her collaborative approach has proven effective in engaging with diverse stakeholders. Furthermore, she has demonstrated her ability to tackle complex urban sites, including working with listed buildings and within conservation areas.
In addition to her individual practice, Sheldon Peever Studio (www.sheldonpeever.com), where she specialises in private and high-end residential projects, Christine also maintains a working relationship with Kelly and Studio 16. Studio 16 focuses on commercial, retail, and mixed-use sectors.
